Hello! I’m so pleased to have you join me in my journey!
I’m Rheagan, a born and raised prairie girl who has always been an Albertan at heart. There’s nothing better than getting up every morning and loving where you are, what you’re doing, and who you’re with. I’m passionate about sustainable living, holistic health, my faith and family, and learning more about all of those things!
A major health crisis in 2013 resulted in a Hashimoto’s diagnosis and debilitating chronic pain. God gave me strength I didn’t know I had (and an amazing husband) to get through it. I could not and would not accept that this was going to be my life. I had too much life left to live, and I was committed to living it to the fullest! I surrounded myself with an exceptional team of holistic health practitioners, dug into all the books and research I could get my hands on, and made significant diet and lifestyle changes in order to regain my health and my life. This is still a work in progress and I am still far from where I want to be, but I’ve learned to relish in the journey along the way.
I attribute a nutrient-dense, gut-healing autoimmune paleo diet in large part to welcoming my precious baby girl into our family. The journey into motherhood is tough enough, but to navigate motherhood on top of chronic illness is a whole new learning curve that is so hard and so amazing all at the same time. My daughter inspires me every day to do better, to be better, and to get better. For her and for me. The same fervor I apply to my own wellness, I now also extend to hers that she may benefit from my knowledge and experience, avoiding the challenges I’ve faced in order to face her own challenges with health and vitality.
I am on a mission to nurture the health of myself and my growing family while leading a full and joyous life along the way. A very wise lady once told me “When the body, mind, and spirit are in balance, there you will find true health”. This inspires me every day, and I’m here to share with you what I’ve learned and how we’re living that out, day to day!
